Osteopathy is a manual therapy that aims to realign the body, relieve pain and promote health effectively.

Acupuncture is an ancient healing practice that involves inserting fine needles into specific points to stimulate the flow of energy and promote natural healing.

A consultation consists of using several approaches together, i.e. a vision that can range from the more subtle holistic approach of Traditional Chinese Medicine, with massage and Acupuncture, in conjunction with the more robust one of the Body through the tests and dismissals of Osteopathy and its manipulations. It varies depending on the case and the individual.
Sometimes both acupuncture and osteopathy carry some unfounded beliefs about their safety and effect, but both are supported by science and evidence, reaffirmed by educational institutions such as the Red Cross.
Combining the Traditional Chinese Medicine approach with Osteopathy aims to reduce the number of interactions needed to resolve the condition being treated; however, the number varies depending on the case, its complexity and the person and all its variables. The duration of the treatment and its variants are discussed and reviewed regularly in order to give a real expectation.
The first consultation lasts between 1.15 and 1.30 hours and includes the following phases:
Auscultation – Your health concerns will be listened to and discussed in depth in order to create a treatment plan, to be followed or adapted during subsequent visits.
Diagnosis – Questions are asked about previous treatments, medical history, diet and digestion, sleep patterns, etc. Examinations may be requested and preliminary screening tests carried out.
Treatment – in the case of Acupuncture, the therapy lasts around 30 minutes – during which time you can relax or meditate and let the treatment unfold; in the case of Osteopathy, it will be brief, lasting just a few minutes.

Between appointments:
After Traditional Chinese Medicine, Acupuncture and/or Osteopathy treatments, it is natural to feel some changes. In the days following treatment (between 48 and 72 hours), you may feel slightly achy, sleepy, less inclined to move and/or have a different appetite.
It’s part of the process. It’s a sign that your body is working towards self-regeneration.
If you have any serious concerns, please contact us. We will be happy to follow up and clarify your case.
